Delete Your Data

You are in control of your data. This page explains how to delete your Blackbook account and the data associated with it.

How to request deletion

Option 1 - In the app: open Profile → Settings → Delete account and confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion with a 30-day grace period: all your data is kept safe, and you can sign in again any time within 30 days to cancel and fully restore your account. After 30 days it is permanently deleted.

Option 2 - Web form: submit a deletion request at blackbook.qmaths.in/contact (choose "Delete my account & data") using your registered email. We verify and process it within 7 days.

Option 3 - By email: send a request from your registered email address to [email protected] with the subject Delete my account. We verify the request and process it within 7 days.

What gets deleted

Your account profile (name, email, phone if added).
Your learning data: quiz attempts, scores, progress, mastery, streaks and bookmarks.
Any redeem / book-verification records tied to your account.

What may be retained

Anonymised, aggregate statistics that cannot identify you (e.g. overall section usage).
Records we are required to keep for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons, for the minimum period required by law. Diagnostic logs already contain only salted hashes, never your raw email or phone, and auto-expire in about 30 days.

Timeline

In-app deletions have a 30-day grace period — sign in again within 30 days to cancel and restore your account. After 30 days, your account and personal data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Web-form and email requests are completed within 7 days of verification.
